The ocean as your horizon

The place to beach in Brittany, on the Finistère peninsula—literally “where the earth ends”—is Ty-ys. Located right on the beach, this boutique hotel opens wide onto the ocean. It's a dream location, magical. People come here to enjoy the spectacle of nature and immerse themselves in it: to kite surf, hike, see the legendary Pointe du Raz...

Finistère is literally magnetic, in all seasons. How about contemplating the high tides and experiencing the storms in winter? Yes? Well, it's time to try it!

Here, enjoy the view. Enjoy life.

Aboard the Ty-ys

At the Ty-ys, let yourself go, to the rhythm of the tides and waves that rock your days and nights. To the rhythm of the changing skies too: you'll see, it's amazing how the light redraws the landscape as the hours pass! It's a unique, spellbinding experience.

A former crêperie converted into a hotel, a family establishment that has always been open to hikers on the GR34 trail who stopped there to enjoy a Breton galette, the Ty-ys has been brought up to date. It has remained a warm and welcoming place that lives and breathes with a maritime atmosphere.

The view from the dining room is breathtaking! In the foreground, the sand; then, the ocean, stretching as far as the eye can see. Tables and sofas alternate, allowing you to savor a surf and turf meal or chill out while contemplating the view. Take a few steps and you'll find yourself on our wooden terrace, right on the sand. Equipped with deck chairs, it welcomes you for moments of rest and contemplation.

The 24 rooms, suites, and apartments are decorated in marine colors. Some have private terraces, right on the sand! All of them, without exception, have a sea view.

At Ty-ys, you are lulled by the waves...

Beautiful Audierne

A picturesque fishing port and marina, Audierne nestles in a stunningly beautiful bay. This lively and vibrant village is renowned for its traditional markets and seafood. Its fish ponds are the largest in France.

Audierne Bay is a popular spot for activities. A paradise for water sports, the local beaches are renowned: Trescadec beach, with its crystal-clear waters, or Pors-Poulhan and Gwendrez beaches, with waves that are ideal for surfing. Walk along the GR34, the famous customs officers' path, which runs along the Brittany coastline. There you will see the legendary rocky outcrop marking the end of the continent, the Pointe du Raz, which offers a tumultuous and striking spectacle, especially during storms and high tides. For a “alone in the world” experience, the island of Sein, with its colorful houses, offers a tête-à-tête with the windswept and tide-battered moors. The pier for the boat trip is within walking distance of Ty-ys. Finally, in the beautiful Cap Sizun bird sanctuary, birds reign supreme and live in peace, right before your amazed eyes.
